DATE: 2026 17th -18th October.  10am Start.

Join ME (Cat Nash) for a wonderfully creative two-day workshop where you’ll turn a beautiful duvet cover into a unique, quilted-style Lottie Jacket. This is a slow, mindful make with a stunning finish — every seam neatly enclosed with handmade bias binding, and plenty of opportunity to personalise your piece with free-motion stitching.

What you’ll be doing:

Over the two days, Cat will guide you through the full process:

• Preparing your duvet cover and a plain bottom sheet for the lining

• Creating your own bias binding to match or contrast

• Cutting your jacket using Cat’s Lottie Jacket pattern

• Piecing the sections so everything sits smoothly

• Adding free-machine stitched designs to enhance the existing print

• Constructing and binding the jacket for a professional, fully-finished look

Whether your duvet cover is bold, subtle, vintage, modern, or simply sentimental, you’ll leave with a wearable piece of textile art that’s completely your own.

What to bring:

• A duvet cover to repurpose (cotton works best)

• A plain bottom sheet for the inner layer

• Your sewing machine and basic sewing kit

Perfect for anyone who loves creative stitching, slow fashion, and transforming everyday textiles into something truly special.

CLARA SKIRT WORKSHOP

15th July 2026 10am till 4pm

A thoughtful, hands-on day focused on making a wearable skirt from reclaimed cloth.

In this one-day workshop, Cat Nash guides you through creating the Clara Skirt using repurposed fabrics from old linens—tablecloths, duvet covers, sheets, and other well-loved textiles. These materials bring softness, character, and history to the garment, making each skirt quietly unique.

The style is intentionally simple, allowing you to concentrate on good cutting, construction, and finishing while working respectfully with vintage and pre-used fabrics. You’ll learn how to assess and prepare linens for clothing, consider grain and wear, and make the most of what’s already there.

Working step by step on the sewing machine, you’ll cut, sew, and assemble your skirt with clear demonstrations and individual support throughout the day. The Clara Skirt is an adaptable design—an excellent foundation pattern you can revisit at home with other reclaimed textiles.

What to expect

  • Selecting and preparing repurposed linen fabrics

  • Cutting and constructing the Clara Skirt

  • Guidance on seams, waist finishes, and hems

  • Tips for working successfully with vintage textiles

  • A relaxed studio pace with plenty of support

  • A finished skirt ready to wear

Who it’s for
Ideal for those with basic sewing machine experience who are interested in sustainable making, slow fashion, and giving new life to old textiles. This workshop suits anyone wanting to move into garment making while working thoughtfully with materials that already exist.

You’ll leave with a finished Clara Skirt, practical skills you can reuse, and renewed confidence to continue making clothing from repurposed fabrics at home.

A calm, purposeful day of sewing—rooted in sustainability, simplicity, and care for cloth.

simple SHIFT DRESS

15th or 18th  April 2026 10 am to 4pm daily

This two-day workshop offers a thoughtful balance of making, wearing, and personal expression. Using reclaimed materials with new to create a truly unique piece for your wardrobe.

Over the first day, you’ll construct a simple, well-cut shift dress using a sewing machine. The focus is on fit, proportion, and confident garment construction, working at a calm pace with clear guidance throughout. The pattern is deliberately uncomplicated, allowing you to concentrate on learning transferable skills and achieving a wearable piece that feels comfortable and timeless.

Day two moves into a slower, more reflective rhythm. With the dress made, you’ll begin to adorn and enhance it using hand and machine-based textile techniques. This is where individuality comes to the fore—adding subtle stitched details, surface texture, or quiet embellishment that reflects your own style rather than following a prescribed design.

The emphasis is on restraint and sensitivity to cloth: letting the fabric lead, choosing where (and where not) to add detail, and understanding how decoration can enhance rather than overwhelm a garment.

What to expect

Day One – Making

  • Cutting and constructing a simple shift dress

  • Guidance on fit, seams, and finishing

  • Building confidence using a sewing machine

  • Creating a wearable, versatile base garment

Day Two – Adorning

  • Exploring surface embellishment techniques

  • Adding stitch, texture, or detail thoughtfully

  • Developing a personal, understated design

  • One-to-one support as your ideas evolve

Who it’s for
This workshop is ideal for those with basic sewing machine experience who want to move into making garments that feel personal and considered. It’s particularly suited to anyone interested in slow fashion, sustainable textiles, and clothing with meaning.

You’ll leave with a finished dress that you can wear with pride—simple in form, quietly expressive in detail—and the confidence to continue developing your own embellished garments at home.

A calm, immersive two days of learning, making, and creative exploration.

You will need to bring your own fabrics to use or purchase  fabrics from Eau Brink Shop and repurposed fabrics from Cat,

KATIE – KIMONO STYLE JACKET WORKSHOP

BRING SOME MUCH LOVED FABRIC

27th to 28th June 2026.

10am to 4pm daily

The Katie kimono is a relaxed, two day free-cut jacket designed to make the most of your favourite patchwork pieces. We begin by creating a patchwork blanket-style base, layering batting between the outer fabric and lining. From this quilted cloth, the jacket is cut with as little waste as possible, allowing the patchwork to truly shine.

The jacket is finished with handmade bias binding around all edges, giving a clean, considered finish. The generous, free-size shape makes it easy to wear and wonderfully versatile — and for those feeling adventurous, the design can be made fully reversible.

You’ll need to bring enough fabric to cover a king-size bed twice to allow for both outer and lining.

Batting will be available to purchase from Anita on the day.

A beautiful way to bring treasured fabrics together into one practical, wearable piece.

RAG RUGS WORKSHOP

25th March 2026 10am - 4pm

Slow down, work with your hands, and rediscover the quiet pleasure of making with cloth.

In this relaxed and welcoming workshop, Cat Nash introduces you to the timeless craft of rag rug making. Using simple tools and recycled fabrics, you’ll learn how to build texture, colour, and pattern by hand—transforming humble materials into something both practical and beautifully expressive.

This workshop is about rhythm and process as much as outcome. You’ll explore traditional rag rug techniques while being encouraged to work intuitively, allowing the materials to guide your decisions. Whether your finished piece becomes a small sampler, a cushion panel, or the beginning of a larger rug, you’ll leave with new skills and a deeper appreciation for slow, mindful making.

No prior experience is needed. This session is suitable for complete beginners as well as those looking to revisit textile techniques in a supportive, creative environment.

What to expect

  • Introduction to traditional rag rug techniques

  • Working with recycled and repurposed fabrics

  • Exploring texture, colour, and composition

  • A calm, sociable studio atmosphere

  • Individual guidance from Cat throughout the day
